My work with you will help you use your existing resources to engage in the learning, change, and healing you desire.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and psychotherapist with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I have earned a Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology degree from the University of Victoria. I have also completed a three-year Somatic Experiencing Practitioner training and a two-year Touch Work for Psychotherapists training with the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute. I have studied attachment rupture and repair with a somatic focus and developmental trauma. I continue to learn and support the trauma healing community through my role as an assistant at many training sessions. I have trained with the VIHA – USTAT team and completed courses and workshops in Family Therapy, Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Addictions, Mental Health Issues, Possibilities Therapy and studied Emotion Focused Therapy.
I am a student of Iyengar yoga, mindfulness practice and Enlightenment Intensives. Continuing personal and professional development are cornerstones of my counselling practice and enhance what I bring to each session with you.
I am a fully insured member of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and a registered member with the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch.
My fundamental desire is to guide clients from stress and distress to balance and flow.
